Favorite Mac Miller Song

Truly one of my all time favorite songs is Earth by Mac Miller & Future. This track comes from the 2013 album, Live From Space, Mac’s only live album 🎙

Earth is one of the most unique collaborations of my lifetime because at the time of its release, Mac and Future were creating polar opposite sounds in the hip hop world. What makes this track so special to me is Mac’s ability to make Future step out of his own comfort zone, and just rap. No autotune – just raw, uncut Future

New Childish Gambino Verse

A few weeks ago, I included a new Childish Gambino verse in the new music portion of this newsletter...it’s flying a little too under the radar for my liking 😏

In case you missed it, Childish is the featured artist on bLAck pARty’s newest single I Love You More Than You Know. This verse makes me super nostalgic and it definitely has something to do with the way he is rapping here

It’s giving 2011-2013 Childish vibes, but he gets very introspective reflecting on mature and relevant topics

And the comment section on my TikTok video made me realize he’s sounding a lot like another Atlanta rap legend...try to guess who it is before you tap in 🤔

Dreamville Keeps Coming

I think it’s safe to say that Dreamville is on top right now. It’s pedal to the metal and they don’t plan on looking back. And next up is the queen of Dreamville, Ari Lennox 👑

Last week she announced that her new album, age/sex/location is dropping this Friday, and if you’re an Ari fan like myself, you’ve been waiting three years for this moment 🙏

But if you need new Ari music RIGHT NOW, rest assured. She dropped a little five song EP, Away Message to hold us all over. And yes, there is a Summer Walker feature on there 👏

On my first listen, I had the same reaction as J. Cole did here...you gotta love seeing our guy this hyped 👇
