New SiR Album
Finally after three very long years, TDE’s own SiR is ready to drop a new album. SiR has been in MUSIC MODE recently after going dark for a bit after the release of his 2019 album, Chasing Summer. He’s also quietly put out a string of singles over the past couple of months 👇
Last week, SiR blessed us with a cover of D’Angelo’s Brown Sugar on his IG, peep this vibe 🍦

I guess he’s been deep in his D’Angelo bag while gearing up for this new album, because not only is his newest single, Nothing Even Matters named after the famed Lauryn Hill & D’Angelo duet, but it also samples Send It On, another famous D’Angelo track. Take a listen 🎧

Cole On The New Smino!?
Two weeks ago I told you that St. Louis’s finest, Smino, is dropping a new album, Luv 4 Rent next month. Well, now we have some even bigger news…J. COLE IS GOING TO BE FEATURED ON THE ALBUM. A few weeks back, photos surfaced online of Smino, J. Cole and JID in the studio together, which left fans imagining the possibilities of what’s to come 😳

But now, we have video and audio proof that this feature exists. Smino shared a snippet of this song on his Instagram Live last week. What do you think?

Drake Wanted A Wayne Song
Drake has never been a stranger to making lonely, sad boy, in your feelings-type music, so it’s no surprise that he always wished the Lil Wayne song, I’m Single was actually his song 🤌
Originally, the song was on Wayne’s famed mixtape, No Ceilings and was set to re-release on Wayne’s I Am Not A Human Being. Allegedly, Drake did hop on a remix to the song, and that version is out there somewhere...probably locked away deep inside of a Young Money vault
But the best part of the story? Drake loved the song so much that he still found a way to sneak a piece of it into his own work, even though the actual remix never saw the light of day. Here, fast forward to the 0:27 mark of Drake’s Thank Me Later deep cut, Unforgettable 👇
Classic Drake...it's always so interesting going back and listening to his original sound

Since this is the last newsletter of the month, here's all the songs I had on repeat in September 🍂
