TDE'S Explosive December

Two of the rarest occurrences in music are TDE album releases and Jay-Z features. And this month, we will be lucky enough to witness both. TDE is about to end 2022 with fireworks, as the powerhouse label plans to release albums from both SZA and Ab-Soul...who has a Jay-Z feature according to IG 👀

SZA and Ab-Soul haven’t released studio albums in five and six years respectively, but the label confirmed that S.O.S. is dropping Friday, December 9th and Herbert drops the following Friday, December 16th. SZA has been teasing us ever so slightly with a few singles and her Saturday Night Live performance last weekend. Meanwhile Ab-Soul has been a bit more discreet (yes, even more discreet than SZA) 🤫

But let me be the one millionth person to say, I am BEYOND excited for both of these projects, both of which will cap off not only an amazing year for TDE, but also music in general 🎵

New Music Update

Last Friday, there were two releases that really caught my attention and I’m here to spill the tea. First, as I’m sure you’ve seen in recent months, the megastar K-Pop boy band BTS is taking some time apart to work on their solo albums. And last Friday, their leader RM just dropped his official solo debut Indigo 🔥

And the best part? The opening track, Yun, HAS A FEATURE FROM ERYKAH BADU (who happens to be a huge BTS fan)! Anderson .Paak and Mahalia are also on the album and it’s just good music

The next release which I want to talk about briefly is Destin Conrad’s SATIN. I’ve been on Destin for a minute now, but if you’re unfamiliar with him, he's a smooth operator who just consistently cranks out R&B jams - this project will definitely make you a fan. My favorite track right now is definitely Day Party 🎉

Apple Music 2022 Replay

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past week, Spotify Wrapped is available and it’s filling up my entire feed. I know I hook you up with playlists and recommendations on Spotify here, but my personal music consumption takes place on Apple Music. And I finally just got my 2022 Apple Music Replay, so in case you were wondering what artists, albums and songs I bumped the most this year, see below 🍎
